Monday March 28, 2022. Today’s Bible reading: Isaiah 26: 3-7. This week’s submission may be short as our computers were down for several days again so I’m behind getting the messages out. Picked up breakfast expecting biscuits and oatmeal- but got frosted flakes instead. Lunch & dinner as expected (tuna salad & chili). Starting this week under LEVEL 1 GREEN so waiting to see what our being open will involve- but still no word on changes.
Tuesday March 29. Today’s Bible reading: 2 Corinthians 4: 7-18. Picked up breakfast- expecting bran flakes but got pancakes, oatmeal & potatoes- or what we should be getting tomorrow… Lunch of chicken patty sandwich as expected & pretty good today. Dinner should be pepper steak- but- got chili mac instead! Clear skies after the weekend’s rain and temps. getting warmer all week- in the 80’s today.
Wednesday March 30. Today’s Bible reading: Isaiah 1: 10-18. Picked up breakfast expecting pancakes & oatmeal but got Monday’s breakfast instead- biscuits, grits, banana. Hamburger & tater tots for lunch- cold & greasy. Rec called 5 minutes after coming back with our meal so stayed in, ate & napped instead of going out. Dinner supposed to be taco salad but no „salad“ lettuce was given- cole slaw in the tray so ate that only & tossed the rest.
Thursday March 31. Today’s Bible reading: Luke 14: 7-14. Breakfast picked up of frosted flakes so had a Pop-Tart instead. Another banana today so that’s 3 days in a row this week- really like bananas. Computers finally connected today so I can get this message started & continued. However, right in the middle of everything they went off again & I had to start over again after waiting an hour but here we are once more- hope it stays on so I can finish…Yes- I was able to get back on & finish. Lunch was BBQ chicken & pretty good although pretty small piece.
Friday April 1. Today’s Bible reading: Romans 15: 1-6. Computers not coming on again this morning so behind with my postings. Still waiting to hear what our LEVEL 1 GREEN opening will give us- still rec for 1.5 hours a day with C2 only- still picking up meals to bring back- still 10 minute moves for education & medical so nothing different except masks are optional now. Lunch picked up- fish patty tastes/looks like breaded cardboard or particle board. Dinner equally nasty.
Saturday April 2. Today’s Bible reading: 1 Corinthians 12: 18-30. Nothing special to comment on- just another slow quiet morning & day. Roast beef dinner was actually roast beef and was pretty good- mashed potatoes, mixed vegs.
Sunday April 3. Today’s Bible reading: Lamentations 3: 19-26. Grits for breakfast- had a Pop-Tart. Lunch supposed to be scrambled eggs but got boiled eggs instead- guess no one there knows how to scramble eggs today. I heard the chow hall workers were shook down & put on lockdown so maybe not many workers there today. Dinner supposed to be BBQ shred chicken- had some chicken & rice but no BBQ sauce, not shred either- more like fajitas without the wrap. Not so good tonight again- seems the chow hall is subbing meals again.
GOD DOESN’T USE THE ONES WHO ARE READY: GOD GETS READY THE ONES HE WANTS TO USE.
