As I lie in silence daydreaming,
Or thinking,
I can’t tell…
Seeking a sound mind,
A higher power,
You know!
Life where the hummingbird dwells.
Trapped in deep meditation or,
Heavy contemplation, maybe just
Mental observation.
Well, it’s hard to tell…
My eyes, closed,
The mind, gone,
The body’s in the cell
And my heart’s at home.
The breathing is slow but deep
I’m physically relaxed.
But the mind,
The mind is at fight
Flapping its wings too quick to be seen
Humming as it hovers
Sipping nature’s natural nectar.
From Rose to Lily,
Lily to Tulips,
Back to Rose again
Beak planted oh so deep
With no need to lick the nectar from its chin.
Dig what I’m say’n?
It’s not a deep spiritual connection
But granted to all men!
One false move
And its gone in the wind.
But then again,
Your mind can take you there
When all else fails
You know!!
Life where the hummingbird dwells!
