Where the love of God goes
No one knows
When we make the choice we chose
As the gavel comes down
And the shackles wrap around
Hands and feet are bound
Whimpers the only sound
Turn and walk away
There’s nothing you can say
You don’t even know where you will stay
So you look to God and pray
Into a room you are lead
All that is there, is a bed
The only place to lay your head
You don’t even care if you are fed
All that’s here is concrete and steel
You can’t talk, think, or feel
And you wonder if this is real
How do you cope or even deal?
With a single light, your shadow is cast
I don’t know how time passes so fast
How many days has there passed?
And wonder how long you will last
