BEYOND PRISON WALLS

Six walls of stone, steal, pain and darkness meet my senses. Awake once more I meet these surrounding nemesises. Resolvingly I face this prison, as all that is beyond or within, is the sum of my existence. I am a survivor, who will not surrender to my life’s enforced pittance.

My choice, is simple as life or death, fight or flight and wrong or right. Shall I face into cruel darkness or seek meaning in the light? I search the faces of my peers for reasons to care or fear and sometimes find that precious bond of friendship. I know these friends think of feel of their plight likewise in captured kinship.

Captured lives and souls alike, we are a fellowship of sorrows. Yet each of us strives to bring something of better meaning, or humor of the gallows. Far too many are simply fading away in empty meanings, or walk in darkness folly. By knowledge or talents, we each may enlighten each other and uplift our meanings by golly.

To live for freedom ahead in no present good purpose, is to live like someone lost or dead. Strive then to shape your purposes in the present freedom of opportunity and create a better road ahead. Reach outward to share what you are inward and thus by so giving, live with meaning. You are unique in the fabric of life, so leave life something only you can bring to achieving.

Do so in your finest of good nature and a spark of light you have created. You then add to the great treasures of life and your worth is so stated. No matter our present misery of prisons ordeals, hold dear your chance to be someone worthy of life and freedoms ideals. Love and care for your world, that the world may love or care for you as well. In this hope, some of your prison will face and the joy of life will swell.
