As I take a stroll in the leaves
I look up through the trees
The brightness of the sun brings me to my knees
As I feel the sun upon my face
I imagine no other place
The smell of the woods, all so sweet
I just lay there as the animals eat
They act as though I were never there
It’s so kind of them just to share
I’m a part of them as they are a part of me
I will return just to see
How all my friends are to be
Time approaches for me to go
I move through the woods ever so slow
I leave the woods with much regret
But I shall return without a fret
