I am not a bad guy.
I am not a good guy.
I am THAT guy.
That guy that you
see standing at the
buffet table double dipping,
tripple dipping, quadruple dipping
his 1 inch celery stick
into the avocado dip.
I am that guy that
passes gas silently
in a crowded elevator
before he hurriedly
steps out. I am
that guy who tickles
his medulla oblongata
with his finger by
way of his nose,
then immediately shakes
your hand (so pleased to meet you).
I am that guy who runs onto a busy
freeway to rescue a wounded bird.
I am that guy that hugs the homeless
woman as she cries
because of the loss
of her child to
the freezing cold.
I am that guy that you do not make
eye contact with,
that is holding the
sign that says I am hungry.
I am that guy that
lies in his bed
staring into the darkness
of his room asking why?
I am that guy that is hoping beyond hope
that there is an answer
that will give meaning
to
that
guy.
