After increasing the price for a German Deutsche Post P.O. Box in 2025, the town’s post office closed its doors at the end of July. According to the Deutsche Post, all incoming mail is to be forwarded to my private address. It worked fine for about one week. Since the middle of August 2025 though, no mail is being delivered.
After numerous emails to the German Post – which won’t be answered in under 20 days – and no satisfying answer is being given, I sent two tracked trial-letters to my own P.O. box. Both did not arrive.
My hands are tied, I am complaining in writing and awaiting a satisfying answer and solution (which I highly doubt I will receive, unfortunately) to this issue.
If your loved-one is writing for CoC, please be so kind to let them know to hold on to any new writings until November. When, allegedly, a new post office will open and the P.O. Boxes will be reinstated. I’m saving up so I’ll be able to contact every single writer as soon as possible.
I have no way of knowing who might have sent an article to CoC since August, hence I am forced to contact every single author. Which costs me around € 230,00. This can’t be done in one month, so I decided to soon take the alphabetical-route.
