Life is hard, when your life’s behind bars
It’s real sad, cuz everybody that you thought you had…
starts breaking bad…
You sit alone…
wishing on being home…
now that you’re on your own…
You have to start to be grown…
it hurts inside…
knowing some of your people have died…
all you can do is cry…
wishing they were still alive…
Looking up at the ceiling…
wishing and feeling…
your emotions aren’t revealing…
You can’t even see your kids grow…
teaching them the things you know…
from right to wrong…
knowing all of your chances are gone…
So you sit in your cell feeling so alone…
But life goes on…
