Life has many twists and turns that will knock you flat on your butt… however, you are not defined by your worst moment or your circumstances. The world will condemn us through the lens of a single story narrative. However, it is up to us to define who we are while removing the veil from over our eyes. I believe that through our pain is where we will ultimately find our purpose.
Most of our decision making during our youth was made through a distorted lens that we became comfortable looking through. Those distorted glasses were shaped by our conditions, systems and a lack of true identity. When you come from rough beginnings you will find difficulty being vulnerable with yourself – but we must be honest with that reflection in the mirror.
Society never asks the question, why? Instead, they form our stories by their assumptions of who we are. Therefore, we must tell your own stories before someone else controls our narrative. As we start to fully understand who we are in the midst of the storm, we will be able to see things through a lens of clarity and transformation… Please view mine!
