After she hears her lullaby
She closes her eyes with a sigh
As she drifts off to sleep
Now it’s time for counting sheep
One by one they go by
Hopping and leaping for the sky
Sleep, sleep ever so deep
She’s so far gone there’s not a peep
Peaceful and quiet, so it seems
All she knows is her dreams
By the look on her face
She must be in a happy place
As I kiss her on the cheek
In my heart I feel so weak
When it’s time to leave the room
I’ll be back ever so soon
It’s goodnight to my baby girl
Around her, revolves my world.
