Think, think of tomorrow forget the day,
yesterdays think not, they’re a plague,
a plague of shame,
but where was righteousness?
Haven’t I been faithful in myself?
Think, think of tomorrow, forget the day,
this too late for now,
the shadow has already crept in,
sun is high but the day is dark,
wickedness comes to dine this day,
Think, think of tomorrow, forget the day,
tomorrow will be right,
years of practice I’ve had,
tomorrow can’t but win,
how long I’ve yearned for tomorrow,
Think, think of tomorrow, forget the day,
there`s no hope today,
God will surely wait till tomorrow,
but who knows the hour?
Could it be today?
Think, think of tomorrow, forget the day,
now my heart quivers,
hurry to tomorrow,
unease I feel in today,
could He come today?
Think, think
but of what I know not,
my courage fails me,
I’m unfit to judge,
tomorrow I’ll be a delight,
Think, think, perhaps of a way out,
is there a way to save me today?
Were the hour to strike,
could I be found white?
Think, think of mercy,
Isn’t it abundant?
Isn’t it free?
Should I take with one hand?
Perhaps with two for plentiful?
Act, act, no time to think,
for the hour gives a surprise,
shouldn’t I be smart?
Shall I chance my soul?
Am I more righteous than mercy?
My soul, o my soul,
now I’m light and free,
now I smile with ease,
now I know I’m good,
I’ve accepted the free gift as I’ve always should.
