I remember when I was a child
Roaming the hills and running wild
Spend all day in the woods
And not doing what I should
I was never home, always gone
I preferred to be all alone
When I was in school
I wasn’t all that cool
I always stayed to myself
And I didn’t have any trophies on a shelf
That’s just how I felt
Sometimes I’d get the belt
But it’s made me who I am
And I can say, I give a damn
I wouldn’t change a thing
Because I wouldn’t be the same
