Sweet land spread before my eyes,
hills rising, flowers blooming, trees growing towards the stars,
Your beauty makes me smile,
Your open space makes my spirit to know freedom,
with you I am content,
For you I will labor,
For you I will love,
For you I will fight or die,
With you I am complete…..
What a dirty city before me,
stains upon concrete, trash in gutters,
nature covered and despised,
Your ugliness makes me sad,
Your closed in walls, shops, signs, buildings suffocated me,
You make me stressful,
I wish only to sleep,
There is no love here,
Take you away! Tear you down! Light you on fire!
I care not, you slowly kill all within me that is good and pleasant…..
