When I pull up to the watering hole
I go in to drown my soul
As I make my way through the crowd
I could not hear, it was so loud
I finally made it to the bar
And drank a beer from a jar
As I looked around the place just to see
Lord have mercy, there she be
The most beautiful woman I’d ever seen
My love, my life, even my queen
As I made my way over by her side
She looked at me and said, take a ride
I stood there with my heart all broken
And thought to myself, she must be joking
I knew then it was time to go
And I left with my head held low
So, next time you see me at the bar
Don’t ask me, how you are
