Coming up, older cats used to preach 9-1’s was the easiest one’s to beat,
And that they given more time for attempts gone ahead put that boy to sleep.
Got led astray that day.
Blind to the facts of life and the price ya have to pay,
(Led stray, Led astray).
Down a path to a concrete grave masquerading as a cage.
I’m amazed at the multitude of youth that get lost in da maze.
When are we going to sacrifice that scapegoat –
400 years, we was slaves – no doubt but it’s a new day.
King paid his life for a dream so you and I wouldn’t have to pay;
The penalty of being mentally ignorant easily led astray.
They say ignorance is bliss but who are they?
We always quote ‚em but nobody seem to know them – they led astray by they.
We got to watch out for they. Who are they?
Society – they lie to me,
My peers – they sneered.
My family – they abandoned me.
My homies – they turned on me.
To some degree I’ve been led astray by all of they.
It took me to stop looking to the created,
but instead the Creator to find the way, the truth and the life.
➡️ As far back as I can remember (ages 4-5); I always had a little rascal in me. Ages 11-12 I „jumped off the porch“ and started playing in the street. It was then I would be indoctrinated with what that street life entailed. I gravitated to the street life and adopted its rules and principles, which was necessary to effectively play the game. Some of what I adopted still helps me to this day. Then there is a part that helped lead me where I am today – a cell. Which lead to „The Thought“ of how I and we are „Led Astray…By They“.
I love this if Ryan Murphy can see this comment this is „RED“ email me when you can.
