If only I was incapable of loving
if only I could escape the feelings
that burn within my heart
As nefarious as it may sound
I wish I never discovered this love so profound
Because love, as beautiful as she is.. has only brought agony
When loved ones were taken from me,
love remained in their absence and she taunts me relentlessly
A constant reminder of what was torn from me
If only I could be cold…
If only I had a heart of stone
then maybe I could evade this endless night, the darkened days
I wish love would stop her embrace
on my heart so that no longer felt the pain
Please… please love, – go away,
(sigh)… If only.
