A pandemic is going on and y’all refuse to wear a mask, ruined lives is making it hard to laugh, graduations postponed for funeral services, grief is written out in musical verses, I want to take the time to thank nurse her and him, for standing out and refusing to blend in, day in, day out y’all actions are selfless, as y’all suit up to go help the helpless, in a time where the blind is leading the blind, and humanity is on a decline, it’s the nurses and doctors on the front line, who really shined, exasperated, overworked under slept but still finding a way to put one foot in front of the next.
How can you explain it to make it make sense, where is the common sense, when innocent lives is the expense, every other day it was a different twist, yet y’all still persist, to spare love one’s of the pain the virus inflicted, so I want to thank you for your courageous spirit, sincerely.
