Hello! My name is Silvonus Shannon. At the time of this profile submission, I’m 35 years old, my zodiac sign is an Aries, and my birthday is April 13th. I am from Chicago, Illinois (USA) from a neighborhood called Altgeld Gardens. There’s more to me though than where I come from or my current set of temporary circumstances of incarceration. Though I’m not adverse, nor do I mind sharing that part of my life, my story if anyone happens to be interested in it. I’m a layered, multi-dimensional individual in terms of conversational subject matter and interests.
Some of my interests are poetry, philosophy books, sports, even the cosmos/celestial bodies. I can be of some comedic relief when the time is appropriate.
I practice transcendental meditation, so I mediate daily which is and has been an integral part of my life for the past several years now. As I’ve mentioned I thoroughly enjoy reading which inspires me to write. Usually I write poetry on all different subjects good, bad, happy, sad, motivational, spiritual even. I find myself writing prose too or some inspirational quotes that cross my mind. Most often I’m writing about my plans for the future upon release, goals, dreams, visions and the like. Not as reverie, but as work. The type of books I like to read are of the non-fictional genres, although I do read novels and fictional works as well. My personal internal dialogue is „Health is Wealth is Love of Self“ in that they’re all interconnected and so I practice that in the form of physical activity 4-5 times a week, sometimes more. Just to be clear I’m a heterosexual man. More than just a „Man“ – I am a person of integrity high character, morals, values, principles and respect. My belief is peace as more than a word but as a state of being which is an acronym that means many different things, but most pertinent in this sense is P.Positive, E.Energy, A.Activating, C.Constant, E.ELevation.
I wish for all people to live free, prosper and find their own individual idea of happy. Happiness in my opinion is an inalienable right we as humans are afforded thhe right to no matter color, creed, ethnicity, religion, or personal orientation.
With that said I’d like to conclude my introduction by saying I hope to meet someone with similar and alike interests. Equally as such though, I hope to inspire at least one person with some of my writings that are on this patform. My hope is that no one is discouraged to write or reach out to me for feeling that I’m too far away. I’m not. Thank you for your time and I leave as I came in Peace.
