🇬🇧 🇺🇸 🇦🇺 Welcome! On this site you are going to find texts from people of different ages, origins, genders and religions. However, they have one small but important detail in common. They are all currently living in different prisons across America and Germany, either for the past 20 years or just for little over some months.
With this site I’m trying to help them being heard on a broader spectrum.
This is not about pitying, belittling or even approving of the crimes the authors committed.
All articles are being sent to me either through email or handwritten snail mail. Some of those writers you’re reading from on this site were looking for pen-pals, had a profile published on one of many sites, so this is how I was able to get in touch with them. From that point on it was all personal word-of-mouth recommendation within facilities.
Every author on this website of course frequently gives me permission to publish their stories. He or she also sends me a filled-out form with general info, a profile text (if wanted) and therefore shows that he or she understands and agrees to the publications.
Please refrain from copying, duplicating and editing the pieces of work from this site without the author’s written permission. Feel free to contact any author should you have questions or requests.

🇩🇪 🇦🇹 🇨🇭 Willkommen! Auf dieser Webseite findest Du Texte von Menschen verschiedenen Alters, Geschlechts, und Religionen. Allerdings haben sie alle eine wichtige Gemeinsamkeit: sie leben im Moment in ganz verschiedenen Gefängnissen in Amerika und Deutschland. Entweder schon die letzten 20 Jahre, oder erst seit ein paar Monaten.
Mit dieser Webseite möchte ich ihnen gerne helfen, gehört zu werden.
Auf keinen Fall geht es hier um ein Bemitleiden, Verharmlosen oder sogar ein Gutheißen der Straftaten, die von den Autoren begangen wurden.
Alle Artikel werden mir entweder per Email oder per Post zugeschickt. Viele der Autoren, von denen Du hier liest, suchen nach Brieffreunden, so bin ich auf sie aufmerksam geworden. Ich schicke jeden Monat Briefe an weitere Insassen, mit der Einladung für diese Seite zu schreiben. Abgesehen davon entwickelt sich langsam aber sicher Mundpropaganda in verschiedenen Anstalten, was mir schönerweise viel Zeit und Geld spart.
Jeder Autor auf dieser Website gibt mir selbstverständlich ständig die Erlaubnis, seine Geschichten zu veröffentlichen. Er oder sie schickt mir auch direkt am Beginn des Kontakts ein ausgefülltes Formular mit allgemeinen Infos, einem Profiltext (falls gewünscht) und zeigt damit, dass er oder sie die Veröffentlichungen versteht und damit einverstanden ist.
Wenn Du auf einen Artikel klickst, zeigen Dir die bunten Punkte die Sprache des Artikels und ob weiter unten eine Übersetzung vorhanden ist.
