Wondering what could have been mine
If only fate and cupid were by my side
Loving without knowing why
Falling without having to try
Feeling loss even when she’s close by
My heart beats with purpose with her in mind
Yearns foolishly for a heart it will never find
WHy must mine long for such beauty
Blinded to the fact that it is unworthy
Foolish heart! Do you not see?
She belongs to another much worthy than thee
Wedded to the one who was meant to be
In the darkness is where my heart remains
Alone and confined into a cage
Never to soar
Never to be free
Sentenced to forever feel pain
And so…
I remain a fool in the rain.
